Description of project stages and activities
STAGE I – Stage duration: 5 months (Month 1 – Month 4)
Activity 1.1. Analysis of current solutions and legislative requirements in the field of SIGHAB – Study of modern solutions regarding mobile equipment foralternative power supply, monitoring and communications necessary in survivors camps and in temporary special-purpose installations with or without personnel.
Stage duration: 2 months (Month 1 – Month 2)
Traditional power supply solutions for survivors camps and temporary island installations of institutions will be analyzed to see the power domain and the composition of the power generatior system, using both traditional means (fossil fiel powered generators) and renewable solutions (wind and photovoltaic generation) with respect to the positioning of the equipment in the territory and the season in which the site is organized. The energy assembly will be controlled by a plant that allows the recharging of endowment batteries. Camp area perimeter and internal monitoring solutions will be explored, both to ensure the security and protection of the area and to optimize the power use in ambient lighting at night. It will analyzesolutions for monitoring vital biological functions for camp key personnel and for subjects under continuous medical supervision. It will analyze communication solutions necessary for linking the device to the exterior, both in voice radio and in data and gsm communications. For the communication between camp occupants and with the exterior personal mobile phones will be used. The possibility of introducing a complex radio and gsm local plant will be studied.

Activity 1.2. Development of experimental model – Drafting experimental model execution documentation for alternative power generation, system control, perimeter and biological parameters monitoring.
Stage duration: 4 months (Month 2 – Month 4)
Drafting experimental model execution documentation for the power supply system consisting of electro-generator, wind turbine, photovoltaic panels, integrative centrals and battery system plus photovoltaic pannels mechanical support systems and the mast on which the wind turbine will be mounted. Drafting the execution documentation for the IT system for the assembly, for the perimeter sensors system, for the internal and external communications system and for the biological parameters monitoring system for personnel and subjects.

STAGE II – Stage duration: 12 months (Month 4 – Month 15)
Activity 2.1. Developing SIGHAB experimental model
Activity duration: 3 months (Month 4 – Month 7)
The experimental model will be developed at scale, taking into account the initially declared scalability of the assembly, so that the components will be nominal, their number will be reduced so that the functionality of the assembly can be tested without having to unfold the whole complexity of the proposed equipment. This reduction through scalability will be applied for the photovoltaic pannels, battery capacity, number of perimeter and area sensors and for the vital signs monitoring system. The model will be developed according to the drafted documentation, and the software system will be developed as to support scalability for both the level of the model and from the time of prototype development, namely mass production.

Activity 2.2. Experimenting the component parts and the SIGHAB model assembly
Activity duration: 2 months (Month 7 – Month 8)
Model experimenting will take into account the scalability of the model and will consist of checking the mechanical solution for fastening and the electrical performance of the multiple supply power plant, the software from the IT system functionality will be checked, area and perimeter sensors assembly, the functionality of the telecommunications complex and the vital signs monitoring complex will be tested. After verifying the constituent components of the system, the assembly will be checked in order to see how the IT solution can manage and monitor the entire system. The necessary adjustments will be made.

Activity 2.3. Elaboration of initial specifications for the SIGHAB system experimental model
Activity duration: 1 month (Month 9)
The initial specifications for the experimental model, in which both the functionalities and the way to obtain them, as well as the ways to verify and test the degree of fulfilling these parameters, will be elaborated.

Activity 2.4. Presentation and demonstration of SIGHAB model functionality and elaborating the technical and primary use manual
Activity duration: 1 month (Month 10)
A report will be prepared on how the functionality of the system was demonstrated, with respect to the ease of use both in operation and in packing and unpacking operations, taking into account the designed mobility of the system. Technical presentation and primary use manuals will be drawn up.

Activity 2.5. Technical feasibility study
Activity duration: 2 months (Month 11 – Month 12)
A study to prove the feasibility of the chosen technical solution and its outstanding advantages over traditional solutions will be elaborated. It will focus on system availability for emergency situations according to the project, on its mobility and on the ecological solutions embedded in it.

Activity 2.6. Protection of industrial property rights for the SIGHAB assembly
Activity duration: 2 months (Month 11 – Month 12)
Although most system components are on the market, combining them into an assembly with this complexity and functionality is an innovative idea in itself and together with other innovative elements that will arise during research, will be the subject of a patent application with OSIM.

Activity 2.7. Design and development of documentation for technical and economic analysis
Activity duration: 2 months (Month 12 – Month 13)
With the experience gained in the research, desigh and development stages of the prototype and based on the modifications and documents resulted from its experimentation, it will proceed to the elaboration of the documentation for technical and economic analysis

Activity 2.8. Elaborating technical documentation for the development of SIGHUB
Activity duration: 2 months (Month 13 – Month 14)
The technical documentation with the whole technological flow for the development of the SIGHAB product will be elaborated based on the experimental model documentation and demonstration documentation. Both the development of the electric and electronic subassemblies and the special mechanical components that go into the composition of the system are taken into account.

Activity 2.9. Elaboration of specification sheets
Activity duration: 1 month (Month 15)
The specification sheets will be elaborated taking into account the experience gained with the experimental model and the specific requirements of the final product.

STAGE III – Stage duration: 13 months (Month 16 – Month 28)
Activity 3.1. Design, development, verification and experimentation of SIGHAB prototype
Activity duration: 4 months (Month 16 – Month 19)
All system subassemblies will be designed in the conditions of the SIGHAB product development for which a prototype is developed: power supply system consisting of electro-generator, wind turbine, photovoltaic panels, integrative centrals and battery system plus photovoltaic pannels mechanical support systems and the mast on which the wind turbine will be mounted. Drafting the execution documentation for the IT system of the assembly, for the perimeter sensors system, for the internal and external communications system and for the biological parameters monitoring system for personnel and subjects. For these subsystems and for the assembly a prototype will be developed and tested according to the procedures in the specification sheets.

Activity 3.2. Elaboration solution presentation manual
Activity duration: 1 month (Month 19)
A commercial presentation mandate, a technical presentation mandate and a product user manual will be elaborated.

Activity 3.3. Elaboration of documentation for manufacture preparedness
Activity duration: 4 months (Month 19 – Month 22)
The technological documentation for product development will be prepared, taking into account all environmental and mechanical stiffness specifications

Activity 3.4. Elaborating execution documentation
Activity duration: 3 months (Month 22 – Month 24)
The electric, electronic, mechanical and software execution documentation for the SIGHAB system will be elaborated.

Activity 3.5. Comissioning – prototype testing and verification for validation
Activity duration: 4 months (Month 25 – Month 28)
The prototype components and whole assembly will be tested and test bulletins according to the procedures in the specifications sheets will be elaborated.

Activity 3.6. Finalizing the specification sheets
Activity duration: 1 month (Month 28)
Based on the experience gained in developing and testing the prototype the specification sheets will be finalized, both technically and in terms of testing procedures.
